Leucanthemella serotina (Shasta Alaska Daisy)

Thumbnail Photo

'Alaska' is the classic Shasta Daisy and is the most common cultivar available. Huge 3 inch wide flowers are pure white with yellow centers and are borne on long 2-3 foot stems which are perfect for cutting. This is the hardiest strain of Shasta available. Shasta Daisies are all-time favorites for the perennial border. The cheery flowers begin to appear in early summer and continue on for several months if faithfully deadheaded. Shastas mix so effortlessly with other perennials that no garden should be without them!
