New Plants for 2010
As usual, we seem to have gone overboard for 2010, with more than 100 new plants. But just take a look at these beauties and you'll see why we can't help it. By "new" we mean some are brand new to the market, some are new to us, and some are ones we've had a hard time getting recently. Download our order form and be sure to order early, as some will sell out quickly.
Lilium 'Lemon Ice' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Distinctively different with white-tipped yellow flowers. The name sounds like something you should put in a glass and enjoy. I'm sure you will enjoy this lily, especially combined with Salvia nemorosa 'East Friesland' or any spiky mid-season bloomer.

Lilium 'Mount Duckling' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Sorry about the name but this vigorous, large flowered lily is quite the beauty anyway. The color of this lily matches our native fireweed perfectly allowing you to extend your manicured gardens to include our native plants beyond your borders. Combine with Filipendula 'Flore Pleno', other lilies such as the white 'Navona' or the light pink 'Algrave.

Lilium 'Navona' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Large, pure white without speckles but a tiny bit of green in the throat. Sturdy upright stems and upward facing blooms are excellent for cut use. Remember white is a great neutralizer for any garden. When something isn’t exactly the way you planned, put in some white. Of course this beauty will blend with any other colors in the garden.

Lilium 'Original Love' (L.A. Hybrid Lily) | |
| Large, open upward facing, deep orange-red flowers sport a darker spotting towards throat. Exceptional tall regal appearance would really be prominent displayed with Baptisia australlis, the Perennial Plant of the Year for 2010 or Eryngium 'Blue Glitter'.

Lilium 'Pavia' (L.A. Hybrid Lily) | |
| Hard to find a clean, clear yellow with no freckles or brush marks or tattoos but this tall lily fits the bill. Strong stems indicate a great lily for vase cut. I think this one would look fantastic combined with Alchemilla mollis with its chartreuse baby's breath look flower and solid green, hairy foliage or for a contrasting look, Polemonium 'Bressingham Purple' would be a dynamite combo.

Lilium 'Peach Pixie' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Incredible color. Easy blends of peach, pink and yellow. Looks good enough to eat. Combine with Rosa 'Prairie Sunrise', sit back and watch the expressions.

Lilium 'Renoir' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Large buds produce a beautiful soft pink flower with just a hint of white in the throat and a few scattered freckles. Very fresh and sweet looking. Combine with Achillea 'Fireland' and or Astilbe 'Venus' or perhaps one of the Astrantia, all blooming at the same time as this lily.

Lilium 'Rosanda' (L.A. Hybrid Lily) | |
| This sweet warm pink lily boasts a small white throat. I think it would be absolutely outstanding combined with Rosa 'Miedomonac' Bonica.

Lilium 'Sefanja' (L.A. Hybrid Lily) | |
| Beautiful warm-soft orange reminds me of one of my childhood favorite ice creams, Dreamsickle. The bright pink stigma adds mystery to this adorable garden lily. For the smaller garden, this compact upward-facing lily will brighten any garden or you can tone it down a bit with the new Salvia nemorosa 'Sensation Deep Blue'.

Lilium 'Sunray Yellow' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Bold yellow trumpet-shaped with rust freckles towards the throat and at the ends of stems bloom early. Very sweet exceptionally hardy lily. Combine with Papaver 'Champagne Bubbles' and 'Lauren's Grape' for a fun, carefree look.

Lilium 'Toronto' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Rich dark pink with a slight fade to yellow deep in the throat as upward facing flowers mature. Flowers are clustered towards top of stem. While it may look fragile, this guy has very strong stems.

Lilium 'Tresor' (Asiatic Lily) | |
| Glowing orange blooms sport a muted brown freckle towards the center. Very strong stems makes this lily a good choice for cut use or windy areas. Combine with Achillea 'Fireland' for an intense, dazzling bright spot in the garden.

Lilium 'Turandot' (L.A. Hybrid Lily) | |
| Gorgeous pure cotton-candy pink blooms dazzle your eyes. Combined with Achillea 'Fireland', Rosa 'Hansa' or any of the Astrantia the outcome is sure to be a winner.

Monarda 'Acpetdel' (Bee-Balm) | |
| Often referred to as Petite Delight, this very compact, mounded plant was developed at Morden Research Station, noted for developing cold-hardy plants. Fragrant deep-pink blooms in summer atop aromatic dark green foliage. Moose resistant.

Paeonia 'Alba Plena' (Peony) | |
| An officinalis cultivar, this peony is a very large double true white with a compact habit.

Paeonia 'Albert Niva' (Peony) | |
| Lactiflora, double scarlet red named after originator, Albert Niva. Ball form, reliable with many side buds. Attractive seed pods and moderate stem strength. Fragrant

Paeonia 'Coral Charm' (Peony) | |
| An APS Gold Medal winner in 1986. Semi-double, long straight stems excellent for cut flower use. The glowing coral to peach color is much sought after. No side buds leads to larger flower heads and a good cut flower for the commercial industry or for the home gardener. Early bloomer.

Paeonia 'Flame' (Peony) | |
| Single, Japanese-style. Soft reddish-orange flowers age gracefully to hot pink with yellow stamens. Yellow center. Although most Paeonia require full sun, this one might be OK in partial shade. Excellent drainage and good soils would be an absolute must for partial shade. Recommended for cut flower use. Compact habit and slow growing.

Paeonia 'Garden Treasure' (Peony) | |
| And it is a real treasure. Yellow is the big word here. It's an Itoh intersectional, a cross between a tree Paeonia (which we can't grow in Alaska) and a lactiflora (we can grow in Alaska) to give it hardiness. Semi-double, fragrant, mid to late season bloomer. The beautiful yellow flowers have a subdued red flare and pink-tipped carpels. Abundant side buds insure a longer bloom period. Lemon scent. Foliage resembles the tree paeonia with distinctive cut leaves. Believe it or not, our price is very reasonable.

Paeonia 'Immaculee' (Peony) | |
| Although classified as a lactiflora double white, sometimes the buds have a blush look in colder climates. But when it opens it is pure white with just a hint of yellow in the center for a special effect.
