Plant Combinations from our June Gardens

Many of our display gardens represent different themes but each mixes and matches plants in different combinations. That's a large part of the fun of gardening for us, trying this plant with that, moving things around and working in the new with the old. Take a look at the following photos from our gardens in June for inspiration on combining and using plants in your garden.

Dwarf Iris & Saxifrage

What a lovely combination. The little dwarf iris is 'Betsy Boo' and the Saxafraga arendsii is 'Peter Pan.' As of June 27 we have quite a few Saxafraga at $5.00 each container but only a few iris at $8.50 each.

Sweet Anemone

Anemone Here is one of my favorites: sweet Anemone 'Sylvestris.' This plant has beautiful, pure white flowers that will grow in full sun and almost full shade. Spreads nicely and has a cute, cottonlike seed pod. We have them in stock at only $5.00 a pot.

Spring Snow?

Not only is this Prunus 'Spring Snow' (right) breathtaking for the eyes, but it is also breathtaking for its fragrance. And Tarri says we still have a few left in stock, so don't delay to add this great tree to your garden!

Border Believer

Pulmonaria 'Trevi Fountain' is one of my favorites for borders, as you can see in the photo on right. This plant will take some shade or full sun. In stock at $7.50 per container.

Vine Crazy

Clematis integrifolia or bush clematis (left photo) always is a nice surprise. The flowers pop out of the leaf cocoon. We have this beauty priced at just $15 a container. For more on our other Clematis and vines, jump to our Hardy Vines pages.

Great Geum!

Geum 'Mrs. Bradshaw' is the photo on right. I don't understand why I don't see this one in more gardens. The foliage is quite nice, even when the bright orange flowers aren't in bloom, and they are quite hardy. We have lots of these in stock, for only $5.00 each container. Who can go wrong with that?
